CASA – The National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association’s mission is to speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children who are involved in the juvenile courts.  Volunteers are trained to advocate on a child’s behalf to help assure each child a safe, permanent, nurturing home.

Children’s Services Coalition – promote the delivery of high-quality social and behavioral healthcare services for Missouri’s children and their families through advocacy, collaboration, and communication.

The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery is committed to the prevention of child abuse and neglect and provides emergency intervention, respite care and support to families in crisis through:

  • Short-term care for young children in a safe and nurturing environment
  • Helping families resolve crisis
  • Offering resources for empowerment, ongoing support and parent education.
  • Community outreach and awareness
  • Advocacy for children and families.

Voices for Children – advocates for abused and neglected children and youth in St. Louis by representing their best interests in court and in the community.

Child Welfare League of America – CWLA’s mission is to engage people everywhere in promoting the well-being of children, youth and their families and protecting every child from harm.

The Children’s Defense Fund – The Children’s Defense Fund (CDF) strives to ensure every child a Healthy Start, a Head Start, a Fair Start, a Safe Start, and a Moral Start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities.

National Critical Numbers Directory – National hotline numbers for children’s issues.  You have to log-in to access this site, but you can use “guest” as your password and ID and you will get in without having to register.

Prevent Child Abuse America –  Their many state and local prevention programs help spread the word in your community, creating awareness that prevention is possible. Together, we can make a difference. Remember, a child is helpless – you are not.
