Help us with our silent auction!

auction-help

With our largest fundraiser less than a month away, we’re scrambling to finalize our silent auction baskets and could use some help.

Do you frequent Home Goods, Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx or Target? We need items to complete our baking and home decor baskets. Anything from kitchen utensils, pots/pans, serving platters/dishes, dish towels, etc. would be a great addition. Also, any home decor items such as frames, candles, throw blankets/pillow and lamps would work. Check the clearance aisles for these things and if you are able to get them for us, contact Maria Chandler at 314-842-8400 to coordinate drop off/pick up times.

Are you animal lover and frequent local pet stores/boutiques? Help us build awesome doggy/kitty baskets with items such as leashes, bowls, food, tags, crates, accessories, grooming certificates, etc.

Not a shopper but you are a season ticket holder of Cardinals, Blues, Rams, Mizzou, Billikens tickets? We could use tickets to complete some of our sports baskets. If you are willing to donate a pair of your tickets for the 2015/2016 seasons, we would LOVE that! Contact Amber Odom at 314-842-8400 for details. All donations are tax deductible.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Foster Family

Our kids are ready for Halloween thanks to the NCL!

NCLCostumes1

On October 11th, the National Charity League brought the Halloween spirit out in each of our foster children through their Halloween Costume Collection Pick-Up day at Forest Hills Country Club. This collection of costumes was organized by Kelle Crowe and the NCL Class of 2018 and gathered at various churches and dance studios, as well as other area schools.

NCLCostumes3

For close to three hours, Angels’ Arms foster parents and their children were able to “shop” and pick out the exact costume they wanted to be this year for Halloween.

While this was an exciting and fun day for the children, the parents were just as thankful as the kids. Collecting Halloween costumes allowed our foster parents to save time and money. With some Angels’ Arms foster families having 5+ children under the age of 10…that’s a lot of time and money saved!

NCLCostumes2

Now, all Angels’ Arms foster children can enjoy Halloween tricks and treats this year thanks to the NCL. Happy Halloween!

Dreamin’ of the Smoky Mountains

Cherokee_NC_entrance_sign_to_Great_Smoky_Mtn._Nat._Park_IMG_4905 Smoky-Mountains-National-Park

*Update: Thanks to three generous donors, the trips have been fully funded complete with spending money. Special thanks to Margaret S. for making sure both boys were able to enjoy this trip, along with Stephanie H. and Michelle K. for ensuring the boys have spending money.

Two of our 5th graders would like to visit the Great Smoky Mountains with their class in April 2016.

Ethan and Justin, 11 year olds from our Ballwin home, are seeking sponsors for their class trip to the Great Smoky Mountains. They each need $415 to cover all travel/lodging/food expenses. Please help us send them on this trip of a lifetime. Their trip deposits of $135 each are due by October 24, 2015.

Click HERE to donate. Any donation amount ($10, $25, $50) would help Ethan and Justin get that much closer to exploring the beautiful ancient mountains, learning about the diversity of plant/animal life as well as all about the Southern Appalachian mountain culture.

Below is a personal request for support from Ethan and Justin:

“The 5th grade Smoky Mountain trip is all about learning new things, like new plants, animals, and other things of life.  The reason I want to go is because I want to learn those things and study new things like insects, beautiful rocks and cool waterfalls which I want to see.  Also, people say it is an AWESOME place.” ~ Ethan

“I, Justin, would like to go to the Smoky Mountains because I would learn about nocturnal animals and take a hike to the waterfall.  Also, I love to find new rocks for my collection, meet new people, and I would have a lot of fun.  To learn about the outdoors and see new things, that is why I would like to go on this trip.” ~ Justin
